"At Thunderbird Microgreens, we pride ourselves on creating our own microgreen mixes, not pre-packaged mixes from seed companies. We blend what we believe to be the very best microgreen mixes which include: our 'Lightning Spicy Mix', the beautiful 'Rainbow Brassica Mix', and of course our flagship 'Thunder Mix!' Our Microgreen lines and lettuce can be found at Berryvale Grocery, in Mount Shasta as well as several local restaurants including Alua Kombucha’s Thrive Bar and the classy Cafe Maddalena, in Dunsmuir. We are also in good company with other 'greens growers' at the farmers' market like Adam Varcoe of Shasta Market Garden," states Mike.
"Thunderbird Microgreens is your local farm; only 4 minutes from the center of Mount Shasta. After shifting from Aquaponics, we began emphasizing our products that are grown in Mount Shasta soil and irrigated by the glacial waters of Cold Creek. We have expanded our varieties of seasonal produce and flowers that are consciously grown with strictly OMRI certified components.
Our famous 'Chef's Choice Salad Mix' is a high-end proprietary lettuce blend that is both sweet and crunchy and pairs perfectly with all of our microgreen lines. Keep an eye out in July for our newest addition the 'Summer Crisp Salad Mix' which is another custom blend of Batavian summer lettuces," says Mike.
